Salvaged Oak ring.jpg

Salvaged Oak

In 1879 a fierce storm brought down the rail crossing near the mouth of the river Tay at Dundee. Parts of the bridge lay submerged in the river bed mud for decades before being salvaged. Some of the Oak sections were brought to a railway storage yard near Blair Atholl Perthshire, where they lay for over a century. We were lucky enough to be offered a few sections of this glorious Oak and have made a wide variety of items from it including furniture, ornaments and jewellery.
